ABOUT THIS CLASS:
Class: Learn To Knit Lace
Class Overview: Learn to knit lace while making this beautiful lace sampler scarf. Four distinctly different lace patterns combine to make an accessory you'll love. You'll learn the essential techniques for successful lace knitting, including directional decreases, use of a life-line, reading charts, and keeping track of where you are in the pattern. At the end of this class, you'll have a lovely scarf and you'll be a better knitter.
Group Size Maximum: 3 students max.
Total Group Price: $216 total for group of three students max. Price shown on this page is the group price.
Payment: Total Group Price must be paid in full before scheduling.
Scheduling: THIS CLASS MAY BE SCHEDULED WEDNESDAY THRU SATURDAY, 10-5, during regular shop hours. Once Total Group Price has been paid, you'll be given instructor contact information.
Sessions/Duration: This is a four session class. Each session is two hours long.

Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills – You should know how to cast on, knit, purl, yarn over and knit 2 together.
Materials: Materials for class are available for purchase at Cheers To Ewe! and are not included in the price of this class. All materials purchased for classes are 10% off for students enrolled in the class.
Here's what you'll need for class:
- 400 yards of DK weight yarn. Choose a yarn that will block well – we recommend wool. The sample scarf was made with 2 balls of Berocco Ultra Wool DK.
- US size 7 (4.5mm) knitting needles
- Smooth scrap yarn
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Please bring your notions bag to classes.
Pattern: Instructor will be provide on first day of class.

Please DO NOT begin this project before class unless class homework has been included in the class description or is sent out by the teacher before class. Teachers often incorporate foundational techniques and lessons in the beginning stages of class, and you will not be able to take advantage of that learning if you jump ahead.
