Class: Advanced Level Knitting Fixes

Prerequisites: Intermediate to Advanced knitter. Must know cabling, simple lace, basic fixing of mistakes – picking up dropped stitches, laddering up, ripping out, tinking, etc.
About this class:
Have you ever worked a mis-crossed cable and not known how to fix it? Made a mistake in a simple lace pattern and had to rip all the way back to get back on track? You can fix your knitting without ripping it all out and starting over! In this class we will learn some more advanced ‘knit fixes’ to help you gain confidence in fixing your knitting instead of ripping out and starting over.
Skills students will learn: Two ways to fix a mis-crossed cable. Recognizing and fixing mistakes in simple lace patterns.
Materials - Materials for class are available for purchase at Cheers To Ewe! and are not included in the price of this class. All materials purchased for classes are 10% off for students enrolled in the class.
- Homework swatches (2) Left live on needles (See instructions below.)
- Worsted weight smooth light colored yarn.
- Knitting needles used to work homework swatches. (US 7 or similar)
- Crochet hook in size US5 or similar. (Should be 2 sizes smaller than your working knitting needles.)
- Cable needle.
- Two dpns in size 4 or 5.
- Tapestry needle.
- Locking stitch markers.
- Waste yarn
Using same yarn, cast on 14 stitches.
Work Cable Miscrossings Chart through Row 26. (Chart has mistakes in it – work it as is!) Leave knitting on the needles (or place on stitch holder.)
Using same yarn, cast on 25 stitches.
Work Lace Mistakes Chart through Row 15. (Chart has mistakes in it – work it as is!) Leave knitting on the needles (or place on stitch holder.)
